This Concert is a mixed tape of various genres in a festival featuring both music and art. We have selected 3 different bands to play with the intention of integrating different genres that invite different tastes in music. Not only is music an attraction, but we integrate art and installation as a way of creating space and culture at the festival. This year’s theme of “Glow On” is inspired by the neon lights and vibrancy of festivals; expect glow accessories to brighten the night!

Keep in mind that there will be loud music and bright lights.

Waka Flocka Flame

Waka Flocka Flame

The riotous rapper, who penned hits like “O Let’s Do It” and “No Hands,” has undergone an artistic transformation since his 2010 bombastic debut “Flockaveli.” He’s experimented with his sound but always with the focus on growing as a rapper. Born Juaquin James Malphurs, the 28-year-old rapper rose to prominence as Gucci Mane’s protégé and his flagship artist of 1017 Brick Squad. In 2009, Waka put trap back on the map, dropping the first volume of his street classic “Salute Me or Shoot Me” that caught fire with songs, “We On The Way, “Dreads N Gold” and his breakout single “O Let’s Do it.” The mixtape’s buzz allowed Waka to release his proper debut “Flockaveli” in October, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 100. Here, Waka’s authenticity was a major selling point. None of Waka’s stories about his struggle were fabricated.

New Politics

New Politics

Consisting of Danish-born, David Boyd [lead vocals, guitar] and Søren Hansen [bass, guitar, keys, vocals], as well as NY native Louis Vecchio [drums] – exploded onto the scene with their smash hit “Harlem,” earning over 31 million Spotify streams and reaching the top 5 of alternative radio. The band has since released three studio albums featuring a slew of hit singles, including “Everywhere I Go” and “Tonight You’re Perfect,” securing major syncs in Frozen, “America’s Got Talent,” ESPN, Bud Light, Doritos, and more. New Politics have made the full late night circuit, performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Late Night with Seth Meyers and CONAN, and played to sold out crowds around the world, touring with everyone from Pink and Fall Out Boy to Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. The band is currently on tour with 311 and working on the release of their forthcoming album due this fall. The lead single, “One Of Us,” is currently #10 on the Alternative Radio chart and growing.
