Visiting the Museum

Plan to allow at least 1 ½ hours to tour the Railroaders Museum. Many of our guests find that more time is necessary to fully explore all the exhibits and view the two short films.

The Norfolk Southern Theatre shows 2 movies every hour on a continuous loop throughout the day. One starts at :20 after every hour and the other at :45 after every hour. If you plan to watch both movies, this will take a better part of an hour out of your touring time.

Plan to allow at least 1 hour to visit the Horseshoe Curve. The Funicular runs every ½ hour on the hour. Many of our guest spend an entire day at the Horseshoe Curve, watching the over 50 trains that travel the Curve daily. If you plan to spend the day remember to pack a lunch!

Guests receive a wristband when they pay admission. This allows guests to come and go from the Railroaders Museum and Horseshoe Curve throughout the day.  Please note: Museum/Horseshoe Curve admissions are only valid on the day you purchase them.
